Full-time, Night shifts, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare tissue samples using microtomy and embedding techniques
• Perform troubleshooting of complex blocks and ensure case integrity
• Conduct routine histology procedures, including microtome maintenance and sectioning
• Assist with special stains, immunohistochemistry, and other technical procedures
• Maintain high-quality work in a high-volume histology lab environment

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois license or confirmation of application in progress
• ASCP certification: HT or HTL
• Experience with microtomy, embedding, troubleshooting, and histology procedures
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment with attention to detail
• Knowledge of EPIC Beaker EMR system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with tissue specimens, cell cultures, frozen sections, and immunofluorescence
• Familiarity with CLIA regulations and routine histology protocols
• Ability to perform special stains, IHC, and surgical pathology procedures
