Key Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Monitor and interpret EKG rhythms, manage non-titrating cardiac drips, and perform cardiac assessments.
• Administer advanced medications including infusions with decreased or weaned titration and care for acutely ill patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
• Evaluate patients pre- and post-procedure, ensuring neurological and stroke assessments are accurately conducted.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care, ensuring safety and quality standards.
• Float within service line and to nearby facilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Active registered nurse license in Missouri or Illinois (must be in hand at time of submission).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
• Epic electronic charting experience preferred.
• Ability to identify EKG rhythms and manage cardiac infusions.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CPI certification preferred.
• Experience with non-acute cardiac diagnoses and telemetry monitoring.
• Knowledge of advanced medication infusion protocols.
