Registered Nurse Oncology

Job Title
• Oncology RN – Infusion and Hematology

Key Responsibilities
• Provide infusion therapy for oncology patients, including blood, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and IV fluids.
• Perform port draws, injections, dressing changes, quick assessments, and EKGs in a fast track infusion area.
• Administer blood products and manage infusion-related activities in a high-volume center with 32 chairs.
• Float within the service line to meet facility needs, ensuring coverage for both fast track and infusion areas based on experience.
• Comply with all safety and certification requirements, including timely completion of onboarding modules and charting in EPIC.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including RTO restrictions and credentialing deadlines.

Required Qualifications
• Valid State Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri or Illinois at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years infusion experience in an oncology setting.
• Current BLS certification; chemo certification (ONS/ONCC) and OCN preferred.
• Ability to obtain necessary certifications and pass compliance requirements, including model-specific training.
• Must meet travel compliance deadlines, including background, SSN, and DOB requirements.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Oncology certification (ONS/ONCC, OCN) highly preferred.
• EPIC electronic charting system experience.
• Prior experience in a Magnet-designated hospital setting.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, outpatient infusion center environment.
