Key Responsibilities

• Assist intra-operative GI procedures conducted under general anesthesia, MAC, and moderate sedation.
• Maintain proficiency with equipment and accessories related to GI procedures.
• Support procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, PEG placement, GI bleed management, EUS, ERCP, and specimen handling.
• Provide scrub assistance and ensure quality care during procedures involving pediatrics, PACU, inpatient, and outpatient cases.
• Contribute to maintaining a sterile and efficient operative environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of GI/Endoscopy-related nursing experience.
• Valid California registered nurse license (permanent license required at time of submission).
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, LA Fire Card.
• Ability to work in pediatric endoscopy, PACU, inpatient settings, with prior scrub experience.
• Up-to-date profile with relevant certifications and references, including recent Nursys report.
• COVID-19 vaccination documentation.
• Experience with Epic charting highly preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with GI procedures such as EGD, colonoscopy, PEG, EUS, ERCP.
• Comfortable floating within hospital units as needed.
• Familiarity with billing modules and time reporting for modules during orientation.

Additional Details

• Shift hours are 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, 10 hours per day.
• No on-call required; floating within hospital is permitted.
• Candidates must be willing to start on the specific, non-negotiable start date.
• Travel compliance documentation required at submission, including references and licensure proof.
• RTO requests and scheduling must adhere to policy; no scheduling or RTO within the first two weeks.
• Candidates must have or obtain active permanent California RN licensure; temporary licenses are not accepted.
• Locals accepted at same rate; no radius restriction.
• Previous Cedars-Sinai staff must be outside the 24-month return window.
