Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including echocardiograms and general ultrasounds, based on physician orders.
• Ensure proper patient positioning and comfort during examinations.
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Accurately document procedures and maintain detailed patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to provide accurate diagnostic information.

Required Qualifications

• Current ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) certification.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Experience with portable ultrasound equipment and PACS systems, preferably GE and Siemens.
• Must possess an active state ultrasound or sonographer license.
• Must have current and valid medical licenses in hand at the time of submission.
• Must be able to work night shifts (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM).
• Must pass an EKG test during compliance (2 attempts allowed).
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Compliance documentation completed by the Wednesday prior to the start date.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working with Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
• Knowledge of outpatient settings, biopsies, pediatric appendectomy, intussusception, pylorus, D&E procedures, infant head and hips ultrasounds, liver elastography, contrast enhancement, Doppler studies (ovarian, testicular, liver, renal transplant), and fetal HR monitoring.

Additional Notes

• Deployment requires full compliance documentation submitted by 12 noon EST, Wednesday prior to the start date.
• Travel compliance and background checks are mandatory.
• No local candidates accepted; must have a valid driver’s license within 50 miles.
• Candidates must be flexible and aware of the zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences.
• All travelers are subject to float to any applicable healthcare facility within the network if needed.
