Key Responsibilities

• Administer nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department of a Level 2 trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Monitor patient conditions using GE monitors and Baxter pumps, documenting care in Cerner system.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, including safety protocols and documentation standards.
• Perform procedures and assessments required in an emergency setting with a focus on patient experience and safety.
• Assist in triage and coordinate care for a diverse, multi-cultural patient population.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or eligible to have it transferred.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an RN, with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications prior to start date.
• PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days), and PALS required before or shortly after placement.
• Experience working in high-volume EDs (over 100,000 visits annually), ideally at a Level 2 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with HCA facilities.
• Demonstrated teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and give feedback in real-time.
• Flexibility to float within all sections of the ED as needed.
• Comfort working with diverse patient populations and utilizing new equipment and technology.

Additional Details

• Position starts on April 13, 2026, with a schedule of 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM.
• 5 travel nursing positions available.
• Competitive pay rate of $73 per hour.
• Work at Mission Hospital's Emergency Department on Biltmore Avenue, Asheville.
• No floating outside of ED, but open to floating within all ED sections.
• Uniform required: Navy scrubs.
• Day 1 attendance policy will be provided; department values teamwork, diversity, and technological innovation.
