Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Night shifts (12-hour shifts, 3x per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and IMC patients, including managing multiple cardiac drips and stable vents.
- Titrate cardiac medications, start IVs, interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
- Float between units including medical PCU, ICU, and other departments as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and certification requirements, including ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
- Support teaching facilities by potentially precepting or supervising students during shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Indiana prior to start date.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital experience in PCU, IMC, DOU, or Stepdown units.
- Certification in ACLS, BCLS, and NIH.
- Experience managing cardiac drips, starting IVs, and interpreting dysrhythmias.
- Ability to float across units as required.
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- Must have out-of-state or in-state license and be willing to take the required compliance steps.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in teaching hospital environment, including precepting students.
- Experience with multi-organ failure, liver failure, and pulmonary conditions.
- Previous charge nurse responsibilities are a plus.

Additional Notes
- Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and be flexible with operational needs.

- Local residents are preferred, but out-of-state candidates are welcome with proper certification and licensing.
