Contract | Nights | Three 12-hour shifts per week | Weekday and weekend rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to critically ill patients with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarctions, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia

• Care for ventilated patients, including initiating and titrating IV drips such as vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics

• Assist with intubations and line placement

• Monitor and manage both ICU-level and progressive care patients within a mixed-acuity unit, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios

• Utilize unit equipment including Phillips heart monitors, Epic (EMR), Pyxis, EKG machines, and dopplers

• Float as needed to other ICU, progressive care, or medical-surgical units while maintaining a 1:3 ratio across all settings

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana

• Minimum of 1.5 years of ICU experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — American Heart Association only

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification — American Heart Association only

• Strong critical thinking, reasoning, and clinical assessment skills

• Ability to care for both ICU-level and progressive care patients in a mixed-acuity environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of ICU experience

• Experience with Epic EMR

• Background in medical patient populations with demonstrated flexibility and team-oriented approach
