Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care to patients in the cardiac stepdown unit, following physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Document patient care comprehensively, including care plans and shift reports.
- Communicate patient information effectively during bedside report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety huddles, contributing to a culture of safety and well-being.
- Serve as a preceptor for new nurses and support peer feedback and performance development.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical indicators and participate in unit-based performance improvement activities.
- Support organization’s mission and values through compassionate, patient-centered care.
Required Qualifications
- Current RN license in the state of New Hampshire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation (preferred or obtained during orientation).
- Graduate of an approved nursing program (preferred).
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Basic dysrhythmia recognition or training completed prior to orientation.
- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training (preferred or obtained during orientation).
- Ability to float to psychiatric units as needed.
