Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Contract, Night shifts (3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including those with oncology histories.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other IV or injectable medications safely and accurately.
• Monitor patient status, manage dressings, and operate medical devices such as chest tubes, PICC lines, and ports.
• Ensure adherence to infection control policies and isolation precautions.
• Document patient care accurately using systems such as EPIC.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and respond to emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid North Carolina or Compact State RN license (in hand at start).
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience, with recent Med/Surg and Oncology exposure.
• Oncology Certification (OCN) required or must be obtained prior to start.
• Experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience as a charge nurse or in leadership roles.
• Additional certifications such as CPI.
• Proficiency in charting with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
