- Full-time, Contract, Night shifts (3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including those with oncology histories.
- Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other IV or injectable medications safely and accurately.
- Monitor patient status, manage dressings, and operate medical devices such as chest tubes, PICC lines, and ports.
- Ensure adherence to infection control policies and isolation precautions.
- Document patient care accurately using systems such as EPIC.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and respond to emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina or Compact State RN license (in hand at start).
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience, with recent Med/Surg and Oncology exposure.
- Oncology Certification (OCN) required or must be obtained prior to start.
- Experience in administering chemotherapy and biotherapy preferred.
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience as a charge nurse or in leadership roles.
- Additional certifications such as CPI.
- Proficiency in charting with EPIC or similar electronic medical record systems.
