Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, nights (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a 23-bed medical-surgical unit during night shifts.
• Manage PICC lines and start IVs, ensuring safe and effective procedures.
• Document patient care activities using Cerner electronic charting system.
• Float within scope to support other units or facilities as needed.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to coordinate patient treatment plans.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, including those related to trauma and magnet designation.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent medical-surgical experience.
• BLS and NIH certification required; AHA or Red Cross certifications accepted.
• Experience with PICC line management and IV starts required.
• Must have at least 18 months of RN experience; exceptions considered based on unit needs.
• Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system preferred.
• Red Cross and AHA certifications.
