Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the Operating Room for various surgical specialties.
- Circulate and scrub during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Assist in pre-operative and post-operative patient management.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, covering multiple units including neuro, ortho, trauma, GYN, plastics, ENT, GU, colorectal, and others.
- Maintain current certifications and compliance with hospital standards.
- Work within a team environment to deliver quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid IN State RN license (must be in hand prior to start date).
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Level I trauma.
- BLS certification required.
- Current certifications relevant to perioperative nursing (e.g., circulating, scrub roles preferred).
- Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays, with flexibility to float internally.
- Proven experience in circulating and scrubbing in a busy OR setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with trauma Level I cases.
- Comfortable working across multiple specialties including neuro, ortho, plastics, GYN, ENT, and others.
- Familiarity with Cerner charting system.
- Ability to adapt to floating within scope and multiple units.
