- Night shift, full-time, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans within the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding respiratory conditions, interventions, and discharge procedures.
- Accept reassignments to other units as needed to support hospital operations.
- Share clinical knowledge with staff and students, serving as a role model for best practices.
- Plan, implement, and assess the effectiveness of respiratory care interventions.
- Administer respiratory treatments as ordered by physicians, maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Illinois Respiratory Therapist License (RRT)
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program - MHC (NRP-MHC) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a hospital setting providing respiratory care
- Strong patient education skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
