Job Title

• Respiratory Therapist – NICU (Neonatal ICU)

• Savannah, GA

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Full-time, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and independently admit vented neonatal patients in a Level I NICU using Servo-U ventilators.
• Set up and manage heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive measures.
• Perform and monitor non-invasive ventilation, including BiPAP and CPAP.
• Utilize neonatal-specific skills such as Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide administration, and high-frequency ventilation.
• Document patient care activities accurately within the Epic system.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintain a high standard of neonatal critical care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license.
• At least 1 year of Neonatal ICU or Pediatric ICU critical care experience.
• PALS certification.
• Experience with neonatal ventilators and neonatal-specific procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapies.
• Ability to independently manage ventilated neonatal patients.
• Familiarity with hospital documentation systems and neonatal critical care protocols.
