- Respiratory Therapist – NICU (Neonatal ICU)
Location
- Savannah, GA
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Full-time, Night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 13-week assignment
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and independently admit vented neonatal patients in a Level I NICU using Servo-U ventilators.
- Set up and manage heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive measures.
- Perform and monitor non-invasive ventilation, including BiPAP and CPAP.
- Utilize neonatal-specific skills such as Bubble CPAP, nitric oxide administration, and high-frequency ventilation.
- Document patient care activities accurately within the Epic system.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintain a high standard of neonatal critical care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license.
- At least 1 year of Neonatal ICU or Pediatric ICU critical care experience.
- PALS certification.
- Experience with neonatal ventilators and neonatal-specific procedures.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Proficiency with high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapies.
- Ability to independently manage ventilated neonatal patients.
- Familiarity with hospital documentation systems and neonatal critical care protocols.
