Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Mid Shift (7:00–17:30 or 12:30–23:00), 36–40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care across a high-volume general surgery operating room environment handling 20–40 cases per day

• Support a broad range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic, robotic (DaVinci), vascular, ENT, urology, and gynecological cases

• Collaborate with surgical technologists and charge nurses to ensure efficient and safe case management

• Fulfill assigned weeknight and weekend call shifts with a required 30-minute response time

• Document and manage patient care using EPIC OP TIME electronic medical records system

• Float to other surgery teams or sterile processing department (SPD) as needed and if qualified

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois, or confirmation that the application process has been initiated

• Minimum 2 years of experience in General Surgery, Gynecology, and Urology within the operating room setting

• Demonstrated experience with ENT surgical cases

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records

• Current BLS certification

• Ability to meet call requirements including weeknight, weekend, and on-call shift assignments

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a large, high-volume operating room environment with multiple suites, within the last 2 years

• Familiarity with DaVinci robotic-assisted surgical cases

• Experience working alongside surgical technologists in a collaborative OR team setting
