Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide complex monitoring and treatment of adult patients in a 16-bed high-acuity Medical Intensive Care Unit.
- Demonstrate high levels of professional competency in critical care nursing practice.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and patient-centered care environment.
- Participate in holiday coverage as required and rotate every other weekend.
- Float to other units or facilities as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher.
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid compact license — no temporary licenses accepted.
- Active Nursys verification required.
- AHA ACLS certification.
- AHA BLS certification.
- AHA NIH Stroke Scale or Red Cross equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 1 year of recent ICU specialty experience.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- PALS certification (required if assigned to a pediatric unit).
- Experience with Meditech EMR.
- 2 or more years of ICU or critical care nursing experience.
