Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Title

• Emergency Room Registered Nurse (Travel)

• Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, travel assignment, 13-week duration, 36 hours per week, days and nights, including holidays and every other weekend

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a high-volume Level III Trauma Center and Level II Stroke Center
• Float to different units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility to meet departmental staffing needs
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Adhere to hospital protocols and ensure compliance with all safety and clinical standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records in accordance with facility policies

Required Qualifications

• Associated Degree in Nursing
• Valid Alabama RN license or Compact license (no temporary licenses)
• AHA ACLS, BLS, and PALS or Red Cross certifications
• NIH certifications including TNCC and SECURE on-site
• Minimum of 2 years of recent ER nursing experience, or 18 months under high-level supervision with at least 1 year of recent ER experience in the specialty

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in high-acuity emergency settings
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a team-oriented approach
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR system
