Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications administered, and care provided accurately and thoroughly.
• Assess patient and family learning needs; provide education and identify appropriate resources.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Mexico or a compact state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required – American Heart Association (AHA) only.
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg or Ortho nursing experience.
• Recent Orthopedic experience is required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Experience managing contingencies in complex clinical environments and demonstrating independent nursing practice.
