Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required; no on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Cardiovascular ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, adjusting to 1:1 as acuity dictates
• Manage and monitor intubated patients, including supporting extubation and bedside bronchoscopy procedures
• Titrate vasoactive medications and manage hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill patients
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including Impella, IABP, PrisMax, ECMO, Alaris IV pumps, Edwards Hemospheres, and mechanical ventilators
• Support recovery of post-operative open-heart surgery patients
• Collaborate as part of a team including charge nurses and unit secretaries; float to MICU and CVIMU as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of care for intubated patients
• Demonstrated knowledge of titrating vasoactive medications
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiovascular ICU (CV ICU) background
• Experience caring for patients on advanced cardiac support devices (Impella, IABP, ECMO)
• Strong team-oriented approach and adaptability in a fast-paced critical care environment
