Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-risk obstetric care within a Labor & Delivery and OB Emergency Department (OBED) setting across a 23-bed unit
- Administer and monitor magnesium drips, insulin drips, and other high-acuity interventions
- Maintain a 2:1 patient ratio while delivering safe, evidence-based nursing care
- Circulate and scrub for obstetric surgical procedures as required
- Float within the Women's service line to Postpartum and Antepartum units as needed
- Fulfill on-call requirements of approximately one shift every four weeks
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Texas or compact state eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience in high-risk OB Labor & Delivery
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Intermediate fetal monitoring certification
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in an OB Emergency Department (OBED) setting
- Background in high-risk and high-volume obstetric environments
- Familiarity with CPN/Meditech EMR systems
