Contract | Four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating call
Key Responsibilities
- Assist nursing staff and physician during endoscopic procedures including polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations
- Disinfect and reprocess endoscopic equipment; assist with equipment troubleshooting
- Set up procedure rooms and stock with necessary supplies and equipment
- Transport patients as needed and assist with ambulation and dressing as directed by nursing staff
- Apply EKG monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to case start
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
- Active registration with DORA as a Colorado Surgical Technologist required
- Minimum of 2 years of endoscopy technician experience required
- Advanced case endoscopy experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program and/or Advanced Associates Program completion
- Current IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification
