Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to neonatal patients in a Level III NICU setting with patient ratios ranging from 1:1 to 3:1
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Phillips monitors, Giraffe isolettes, Hamilton ventilators, RAM cannulas, and IV/syringe pumps
- Assist with and perform unit procedures including UAC and UVC insertion and intubation
- Collaborate closely with Neonatologists, Nurse Practitioners, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute daily plans of care
- Apply strong critical thinking skills and function autonomously while serving as a patient and family advocate
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech and CPN EMR systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Level III NICU hospital experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of overall nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in a delivery or labor and delivery setting
- NICU or PICU experience beyond minimum requirement
- Current PALS certification
