Outpatient Orthopedic Physical Therapist (PT)

Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, No Weekends or Holidays Required

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients' physical conditions using tests, medical history, and observation to develop individualized treatment plans.

  • Design and implement treatment interventions for conditions including joint replacements, sports injuries, sprains/strains, post-surgical rehabilitation, generalized pain conditions, work-related injuries, and balance disorders.

  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities as appropriate.

  • Collaborate closely with referring physicians and orthopedic surgeons to coordinate care, provide timely updates, and optimize treatment plans.

  • Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and post-discharge care.

  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with legal and professional standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.

  • Current and valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist, or eligibility to obtain licensure.

  • Current CPR certification.

  • Strong clinical reasoning and manual therapy skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • One or more years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy; new graduates with strong clinical rotations will be considered.

  • Certification or training in specialized techniques such as McKenzie, Maitland, Dry Needling, or Graston.

  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
