Patient Care Assistant / Technician – Medical/Surgical, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Evening Shift | 8 Hours | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Coverage Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assistance across Medical/Surgical, ICU, and Emergency Room settings
• Float to various units including Med/Surg, Intensive Care, and Emergency Room as needed
• Support nursing staff with patient monitoring, comfort, and daily care activities
• Document and record patient information accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and patient care protocols across assigned units

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Patient Care Technician or Patient Care Assistant
• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
• Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Room units
• Availability for every other weekend and holiday shifts

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 4 or more years of experience in a patient care technician or similar clinical support role
• Prior experience working across multiple acute care units in a hospital environment
