Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Projected Start: 07/06/2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Critical Care Unit at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, arterial lines, and titrated drip medications
- Care for post-craniotomy and post-cath lab patients in a critical care setting
- Assist with or support procedures including central line placement, arterial line placement, chest tubes, and intubation
- Document patient care using the Meditech electronic documentation system and monitor patients via Philips central monitoring
- Float to Medical/Surgical and PCU units for assignments, and to the ER to task or manage hold patients as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of critical care / ICU experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- Current NIH Stroke Scale certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Hands-on experience with mechanical ventilators, arterial lines, and vasoactive/titrated drip management
- Experience caring for post-craniotomy and post-cath lab patient populations
- Familiarity with Meditech documentation and Philips central monitoring systems
