Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures within a high-volume operating room environment
• Support a wide range of surgical case types including open heart, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), trauma, neuro, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, vascular, robotic, and hybrid room procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation shared equitably among all traveling staff for cardiac surgery coverage
• Operate within a large-scale Level 1 trauma facility supporting both inpatient and outpatient surgical suites as well as procedural rooms
• Float between operating rooms within the same facility as needed based on unit demand
• Adhere to scheduling flexibility as daily assignments may vary based on unit needs; block scheduling is not available

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of operating room experience required
• CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) experience is required
• Active NBSTA certification required; must be on file at time of submission
• Demonstrated scrub experience and ability to scrub all assigned case types
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Must be comfortable with call requirements as part of a shared rotation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic and hybrid room procedures (cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, lead extraction)
• Exposure to transplant surgery (liver, renal, pancreas) and burn or hepatic-biliary cases
• Familiarity with high-acuity adult patient populations in a Level 1 trauma setting
