Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract | Travel | 12-Week Assignment | Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Two Weekends per Month Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 16-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 3–4:1, or 1:1 for trauma and critical patients
• Perform and assist with procedures including peripheral and ultrasound-guided IV insertion, IO insertion management, 12-lead ECG acquisition, defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, and transcutaneous pacing
• Administer IV medications and blood products, monitor procedural sedation, and perform medication titration including administration of TNK
• Perform wound care procedures including wound irrigation, splint application, hemorrhage control, and tourniquet application
• Collect blood and urine specimens, perform blood culture collection, and manage central line dressing changes
• Utilize the Meditech documentation system and Broselow/Panda system; operate the Belmont rapid infuser and support MTP implementation

Required Qualifications

• Active Utah RN license or valid Compact RN license – required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Proficiency with EKGs, breathing treatments, digit blocks, and knowledge of chest tube, central line, and lumbar puncture setup
• Navy blue scrubs required as dress code

Preferred Experience / Skills

• TNCC, NRP, or ENPC certification
• Experience with ultrasound-guided IV insertion
• Pediatric IV insertion experience
