Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit within an acute care, Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated facility
• Manage PICC lines and perform IV starts as part of routine patient care
• Care for a patient assignment of up to 1:6 ratio, with a maximum of 1:7 as needed
• Work with trach and laryngectomy patients, with willingness to learn and manage this population
• Float within scope to other units or affiliate facilities as needed to meet staffing demands
• Work every other weekend per unit rotation schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in hand at time of application
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience
• Current BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Demonstrated experience with PICC line management and IV insertion
• Willingness to care for trach and laryngectomy patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records
• Prior experience in an acute care or Level I Trauma center environment
