Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 4-bed ICU/CCU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor, interpret, and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs and ABGs
• Manage ventilated patients including ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP assistance, HFNC, suctioning (ETT/NT), and chest tube insertion/removal assistance
• Administer and titrate vasoactive drips, cardiac drips, continuous IV sedation, and IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade; manage IV insulin protocols
• Perform and maintain arterial line management, central line care, PICC line management, blood product administration, and IV starts
• Apply infection prevention protocols, isolation precautions, PPE use, and wound/surgical drain care including wound vac management

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required at time of application — pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/CCU nursing experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Experience with multi-system organ failure, chronic/acute renal failure, and IV insulin protocols
• Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, emergency medications, and critical care respiratory management
• Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to affiliate locations as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
• Prior experience in a Critical Access or Magnet-designated facility
