Contract (13–26 weeks) | Days, 4x12-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 7:00 PM) | On-call required on a rotating basis with staff and agency

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures including left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and rotablader atherectomy
• Assist with cardiac implant closure device placements, cardiac stent placements, and IABP placement and removal
• Scrub procedures and perform equipment setup in the cardiac cath lab environment
• Recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and interpret dysrhythmias during procedures
• Maintain strict infection control practices including sterile technique and isolation precautions
• Document and chart accurately using Cerner electronic health records system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
• Active Illinois license required at time of submission — pending licenses not accepted
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS (AHA or Red Cross only; RQI cards not accepted)
• Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
• Competency with middle and older adult patient populations

Preferred Experience / Skills

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Experience with a high-volume, acute care cath lab environment
• Familiarity with a Level I trauma center or Magnet-designated facility
