Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult inpatient rehabilitation patients in a dedicated inpatient rehab unit (18 beds) with a 5–6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Perform procedures including indwelling and straight urinary catheterization, peripheral IV insertions, blood administration, central line dressing changes, wound dressing changes, surgical drain removal, and suture/staple removal
- Complete rehabilitation-specific documentation accurately and in real time using Meditech
- Apply specialty patient mobilization skills in accordance with rehabilitation unit protocols
- Collaborate with RNs and PCTs to deliver coordinated patient care across neurological, cardiac, and orthopedic adult populations
- Float to medical-surgical units on a rotating basis as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient hospital experience in medical-surgical, stepdown/critical care, or inpatient rehabilitation nursing
- Current BLS certification
- Willingness to learn and apply specialty patient mobilization skills
- Willingness to complete rehabilitation-specific documentation with real-time training support provided
- Strong attention to detail and receptiveness to coaching on rehabilitation and required documentation practices
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior acute inpatient rehabilitation nursing experience
- Experience caring for neurological, cardiac, and/or orthopedic adult patient populations
- Long-term acute care (LTACH) nursing experience
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient hospital nursing experience
