Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with solid tumor cancers, including breast, lung, prostate, pancreatic, colon, and esophageal cancer, as well as patients receiving antineoplastic chemotherapy
- Support patients across the full cancer care continuum, from new diagnosis through active treatment and transition to end-of-life care
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpretation as part of routine patient assessment
- Maintain a strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention
- Manage general medical-surgical patient needs in addition to oncology-specific care
- Float to other Medical Surgical Oncology units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license) required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of registered nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency in telemetry interpretation and monitoring
- Experience with computerized charting; EPIC required
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology nursing experience preferred, though not required
- ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred
