Contract | Travel | Days | 13-Week Assignment | Three 12-hour shifts per week (4x10 shifts considered) | Shift start times vary between 5:00 AM–7:00 AM based on surgery schedule | One closing shift per week required | Projected Start Date: August 3, 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surgical patients preoperatively in a Pre-Op holding and Same Day Surgery unit
• Provide Phase 2 recovery care for post-operative patients
• Perform and assist with IV starts, moderate sedation, nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan procedures
• Monitor patients using cardiac monitors, ultrasound, and EKG equipment
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech documentation system
• Remain on unit through closing on designated closing shifts until the last patient is discharged

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Pre-Op, Post-Op, or Same Day Surgery
• Demonstrated IV start skills and moderate sedation experience
• Experience preparing surgical patients for surgery and providing Phase 2 recovery
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Ability to wear required blue scrubs uniform

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with nerve blocks, arterial lines, central lines, and Swan catheter procedures
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Experience working in a high-volume surgical environment
