Travel RN – Postpartum / Mother Baby

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess postpartum patients, including vital signs, medication administration, and perineal care management
• Provide education to parents on newborn care, safety, and bonding techniques
• Deliver couplet care in a Mother/Baby unit setting, supporting both mother and newborn throughout the postpartum period
• Collaborate with charge nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary care team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Document patient care accurately using EMR systems (Meditech / CPN)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital Postpartum / Mother Baby experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of experience in a Mother/Baby unit
• Flexibility with scheduling and ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong communication skills across staff and providers
