Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Multi-Trauma Unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Manage complex trauma patients including those requiring chest tubes, tracheostomies, and suction
- Operate and monitor specialized equipment including ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, and specialty beds
- Perform and assist with bedside procedures including chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, physicians, and patient care technicians
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech/CPN electronic medical record system
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital PCU experience
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Prior experience with Meditech EMR
- Experience caring for high-acuity trauma patients in a Level 1 trauma center environment
