Patient Care Assistant / Tech – Intensive Care Unit

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 8 Hours | 11:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assistance within an Intensive Care Unit setting
• Support nursing staff with patient monitoring, comfort, and daily care needs
• Float to Med/Surg units, ICU, and Emergency Room as needed
• Adhere to weekend rotation requirements, working every other weekend
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the clinical care team
• Maintain compliance with holiday scheduling requirements

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patient Care Technician or Assistant
• Active BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ability and willingness to float to Med/Surg, ICU, and Emergency Room units
• Availability to work night shifts, every other weekend, and holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of experience as a Patient Care Technician or Assistant
• Prior experience working in an Intensive Care Unit or high-acuity environment
• Familiarity with multi-unit float responsibilities in a hospital setting
