- Full-time, Days, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care within IMC, Stepdown, or PCU units, ensuring safety and quality standards
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent situations using telemetry systems
- Administer medications, including cardiac drips, Vasoactive drugs, PCA, and procedural sedation under established protocols
- Manage vascular access devices such as ports, PICC lines, and arterial lines, ensuring proper care and documentation
- Support patients with neurological, orthopedic, and surgical needs, including neuro assessments, post-operative care, and wound management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and facilitate patient recovery
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license
- BLS and NIH certifications (ACLS preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RN experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, or PCU settings
- Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and emergency response protocols
- Experience with IV therapies, including central lines, blood products, and arterial lines
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner or electronic charting systems
- Level I Trauma center experience and teaching hospital background preferred
- Prior exposure to GI, Renal, Orthopedic, and Neurosurgical patient care
- Knowledge of infection control practices such as Isolation Precautions and Wound Care

Additional Notes
- Shifts start at 6:45 AM and end at 7:15 PM
- No on-call requirements; will float within scope as needed
- Parking provided at no cost; solid color scrubs accepted
- Four shifts per week, with flexibility discussed with the manager
- Must complete all onboarding modules and certifications prior to start date
- Travel compliance requirements include background checks, documentation, and verification of licensure
