Surgical Technologist – CVOR / Labor & Delivery OR

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00–17:30) | On-Site | Call Required

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in Labor & Delivery OR cases including Cesarean Section, Dilation & Curettage, Dilation & Evacuation, Tubal Ligation, and Cerclage
• Support high-risk non-OB surgical cases such as Accreta/Cyst procedures, laparoscopic ectopic, and cystoscopy
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and sterile field throughout all surgical procedures
• Perform sterilization, high-level disinfection (HLD), and instrument decontamination as required
• Transition to general OR support beginning at 3:00 PM as part of shift responsibilities
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by the unit

Required Qualifications

• Active NBSTSA certification – must be in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of surgical technologist experience (Labor & Delivery OR experience required)
• Proficiency in scrub technique, sterilization, and high-level disinfection (HLD)
• Demonstrated competency in aseptic technique

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with decontamination and crash cart procedures
• Scope and probe reprocessing experience
