Travel Contract Registered Nurse – ICU (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week | Rotating Weekends | Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting with a 1:2 patient ratio across a 14-bed unit
- Manage and monitor patients on vasoactive drips and complex hemodynamic support
- Assist with and support advanced procedures including ECMO, CRRT, chest tube insertions, and central line insertions
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the Meditech electronic health records system
- Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy
- Work three shifts per week including every other weekend on a rotating schedule
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience
- Current ACLS certification
- Current BLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Demonstrated comfort with vasoactive drips and strong understanding of hemodynamic monitoring
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with ECMO (VV ECMO preferred)
- Experience with CRRT, specifically NxtStage equipment
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Background caring for COVID-positive ICU patients
