Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts | 7:00–17:30 | Sundays Required
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sterile processing functions including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment
- Utilize all modalities of sterilization (excluding ETO) in accordance with facility protocols
- Apply Sterile Processing Manager (SPM) knowledge to ensure compliance with sterilization standards
- Support surgical services by ensuring timely availability of properly sterilized instruments and trays
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to infection control and safety standards
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing Technician experience
- Proficiency with SPM (Sterile Processing Management) systems — required
- Knowledge of all sterilization modalities except ETO
- Experience with Epic charting system — required
- Valid Oregon license (may be submitted as pending)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify under travel compliance guidelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a Critical Access or Level III Trauma Center environment
- Familiarity with surgical services workflows and instrument sets across multiple specialties
