Key Responsibilities
- Function as a key health care team member within the Perioperative environment under the direction of Perioperative leadership
- Anticipate, plan for, and respond to the needs of the patient, surgeon, and other team members throughout surgical proceduresPrimary case focus on neurological procedures, with potential float coverage to General, Orthopedic, and CVOR settings
- Maintain patient, family, coworker, and physician confidentiality in accordance with applicable standards
- Utilize EPIC for computerized charting and documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekday/night call approximately once every 7–10 days and full weekend call approximately every 5–6 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required — TS-C and grandfather certifications are not accepted
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Strong neuro surgical experience required
- Ability to participate in required on-call rotation including evenings, nights, and weekends
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of travel experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Experience in General, Orthopedic, or CVOR surgical settings
