Contract | Days | 3 x 10-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all radiographic examinations in accordance with established facility protocols
- Identify each patient and review exam orders for consistency with clinical diagnosis, verifying all demographic information
- Maintain working knowledge and use of HIS and PACS computer systems to ensure quality patient documentation
- Maintain established department policies and procedures including quality assurance, safety, radiation protection, infection control, and universal precautions
- Maintain constructive and collaborative communication with patients, families, physicians, co-workers, and other members of the healthcare team to support continuity of care
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and uphold principles of a Just Culture and organizational values
Required Qualifications
- Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work with patients across all age groups, including neonatal/infant through geriatric populations
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking of the English language
- Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements and access online forms and policies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of one year of experience in a radiology setting preferred
- Familiarity with HIS and PACS systems in a clinical environment
