Key Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency care nursing to a high-volume patient population in a 43-bed Emergency Department averaging approximately 165 patients per day
• Assess, triage, and manage patients presenting with a wide range of medical complaints as well as trauma cases
• Provide specialized care for behavioral health patients in collaboration with law enforcement and behavioral health partners
• Utilize EPIC electronic health records system for accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and technicians to coordinate patient care
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 within the Emergency Department setting

Required Qualifications

• Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association only
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association only
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification – American Heart Association only
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
• Proficiency with EPIC charting (required)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Experience caring for behavioral health patients in an acute or emergency care environment
• Familiarity with trauma care protocols and high-acuity patient management
