Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Labor & Delivery setting, including antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients
- Assist with and support C-section procedures in coordination with the surgical and obstetric team
- Float between like units as needed to support staffing requirements
- Care for neonates in a Level II NICU environment, including patients with RDS, sepsis, hyperbilirubinemia, NOWS/NAS, hypoglycemia, and failure to thrive
- Perform and manage IVs, EPIV lines, PPN/Lipids, and IV antibiotics; support short-term intubation cases
- Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health records system
Required Qualifications
- Active or pending RN license in the state of Washington (quick starts preferred for pending licenses)
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Experience in Postpartum and C-Section care required
- Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications required
- Willingness to work every other weekend
- Permanent residence must be greater than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel contract
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
- Experience with on-call availability is preferred, though not required
- Familiarity with Level II NICU patient populations including feeder/growers and neonates requiring PPN/Lipids
