Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular OR (CVOR)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM) | 40 hours per week | Weekend rotation required | On-call up to 1 weekend per month with some holiday call required

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform scrub and circulating roles during cardiac surgical procedures
  • Provide direct perioperative nursing care to cardiovascular surgery patients
  • Float to additional OR areas and sterile processing as needed
  • Participate in weekend rotation and on-call assignments including select holidays
  • Adhere to all facility policies including a nicotine-free environment

Required Qualifications

  • Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center
  • Recent, strong scrub experience on cardiac surgeries
  • Demonstrated circulating experience in a cardiovascular OR setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Experience floating across multiple OR environments
  • Familiarity with sterile processing department (SPD) workflows
