Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours per Week | Onsite | Projected Start: 08/03/2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed renal unit specializing in acute and chronic kidney disease, including renal replacement therapy
• Monitor and care for post-hemodialysis patients and patients undergoing ongoing peritoneal dialysis
• Maintain a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care
• Collaborate with nephrologists, hospitalists, and family practice providers to coordinate comprehensive renal patient care
• Support patients throughout their full care journey, from diagnosis through treatment and beyond
• Float to other units or facilities as needed and work every other weekend and holidays as required

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Alabama or a valid Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted); must be verifiable through NURSYS
• Current AHA BLS or Red Cross BLS certification
• Minimum of 18 months of experience working under the highest level of professional licensure, with at least 1 year of recent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Proficiency or ability to work with Meditech EMR
• Willingness to wear solid navy scrubs per dress code policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience
• Prior experience in renal nursing, including hemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis patient care
• Experience floating to multiple units or hospital settings
