Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU / Progressive Care

Contract | Three 12-hour mid shifts per week | Traditional weekday plus weekend rotation | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for critically ill and progressive care patients including those with diagnoses such as sepsis, respiratory failure, renal failure, myocardial infarction, pulmonary embolism, and pneumonia
• Initiate and titrate IV drips including vasopressors, sedation, and paralytics; care for ventilated patients and assist with intubations and line placement
• Monitor patients using Phillips heart monitors, EKG machines, dopplers, and Epic EMR; administer medications via Pyxis
• Operate within a mixed acuity unit caring for both ICU-level and progressive care patients, with ICU ratios of 1:2–1:3 and progressive care ratios of 1:3–1:4
• Float to other ICU, progressive care, and medical-surgical units while maintaining a maximum 1:3 patient ratio

Required Qualifications

• Valid Indiana RN License
• Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills with the ability to manage both ICU and progressive care patients

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred
