Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Nights, 12.5-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Stepdown unit, closely monitoring vital signs and patient status.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain detailed medical records in compliance with hospital policies.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols.
• Support the hospital’s mission to deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or the appropriate state.
• Minimum of 2+ years of recent experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown setting.
• Ability to work night shifts and adjust to 12.5-hour shift schedule.
• Proficiency in patient monitoring and emergency response techniques.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a trauma, cardiac, or pediatric environment is a plus.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
