Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Cardiovascular)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:00) | Onsite | Every other weekend required (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights); holiday shifts may be required during the assignment period

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiovascular Telemetry unit with a 54-bed capacity across three 18-bed wings
• Monitor and assess cardiovascular telemetry patients, including those cared for in an overflow unit
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EPIC electronic health records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality cardiovascular nursing care
• Float to other units as needed based on facility census and staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in Virginia, or a compact license with proof provided at time of submittal
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification
• Stroke education completed as required for RNs at acute care facilities
• Specialty (Telemetry/Cardiovascular) experience within the last year

Preferred Experience / Skills

• PALS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records in an acute care setting
• Flexible scheduling availability with minimal time-off requests during the assignment period
