• Full-time, night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to IMC, PCU, and stepdown unit patients, focusing on high-acuity nursing interventions
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including dysrhythmias and ABGs, utilizing GE telemetry systems
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV therapy, including PICC lines and central lines
• Respond to rapid response calls and manage emergencies effectively
• Follow infection prevention protocols and safety guidelines to minimize patient falls and prevent hospital-acquired infections
• Document patient care activities accurately and ensure compliance with hospital policies

Required Qualifications

• Valid registered nurse license in Ohio or compact state
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a high-acuity setting, preferably IMC, PCU, or stepdown units
• BCLS, ACLS, NIH certifications required
• Strong knowledge of dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, and cardiac drips management
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and emergency response procedures
• Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Wound care and wound vac management skills
• Experience managing arterial lines, surgical drains, and non-invasive airway devices
• Prior travel nursing experience is a plus

Additional Information

• Orientation: First week Monday to Friday dayshift, followed by 36 hours of on-unit orientation with a preceptor
• Travel compliance: Strict fingerprinting process required prior to start, with deadlines on Tuesday before scheduled shift

• Candidates must have RTO requests built into the contract and submit with at least one leadership reference
• Travel nurses outside Ohio must complete fingerprinting in Ohio promptly after booking
